LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor with a specialization in constitutional law/law and courts, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2027.
The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in constitutional law as well as courses in the related areas of law and courts/public law/judicial politics at the undergraduate and graduate level; engage in scholarly activities that include robust publication of peer-reviewed journal articles and/or books; and participate in departmental, college, and university service.
The Department of Political Science at Lehigh University offers an undergraduate major and minor, as well as the M.A. and M.P.P. degrees. The department’s 14 full-time faculty members cover the fields of American politics, comparative politics, public policy, and political theory. Together with colleagues in Lehigh’s Department of International Relations and other programs, Lehigh faculty cover a broad span of political science research specializations and methodologies. The regular teaching load in the department is two courses per semester.

Qualifications
Candidates must have an earned PhD or other research doctoral degree in political science or a related field by the date of employment.
