The Department of Decision and Technology Analytics in the College of Business at Lehigh University invites applications for a non-tenure track and non-tenured instructional position in Business Information Systems, Business Analytics, or Supply Chain Management, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026. The position rank is either Teaching Assistant Professor or Professor of Practice, depending on the candidate’s experience and teaching record. This position is a renewable, fixed-term, non-tenure-track, full-time position. The initial term of appointment is three years.
The individual hired will be expected to be a highly engaged and committed member of the DATA department, and will be involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching, curriculum development, student mentoring, and departmental service as assigned by the department chair. The standard teaching schedule is 12 credits per academic semester. This teaching load may be reduced for faculty who supervise significant student consulting projects or engage in other high-impact experiential learning activities that advance departmental priorities.
While the position is not tenurable, Teaching Assistant Professors who develop excellent records in the areas of teaching and service are expected to become eligible for consideration for promotion to the rank of Teaching Associate Professor, and ultimately to the rank of Teaching Full Professor.
The Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) in the College of Business at Lehigh University has nine tenured and tenure-track faculty members and five teaching-track professors in business information systems, business analytics and supply chain management. Faculty in the department publish in top-ranked journals in supply chain management, operations management, business analytics and information systems. The department offers majors in Business Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, and Business Analytics, as well as minors in Business Information Systems and Supply Chain Management. The department also offers an MS in Business Analytics, contributes courses to the College’s MBA programs and supports numerous undergraduate core courses in the College of Business. The CSCRL, which fosters industry support and research on supply chain management, is housed within the department.
