Job Description

The Department of Decision and Technology Analytics in the College of Business at Lehigh University invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor, or an associate professor, depending on the qualifications of the candidate, with a specialization in operations and supply chain, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

Candidates must have an earned PhD in supply chain management, operations management, management science, industrial engineering, or closely related field by the date of employment. Candidates at the assistant professor level must demonstrate the potential to publish high-quality research in top-tier refereed journals, as well as the potential to effectively teach courses in supply chain management, operations management and/or business analytics. Candidates at the associate professor level must demonstrate excellence in teaching, research, and service. They must possess an established record of high-quality publications in top-tier refereed journals, as well as the demonstrated ability to effectively teach courses in supply chain management, operations management and/or business analytics. The awarding of tenure within the College of Business requires publications in top-tier refereed journals.

The individual hired will be expected to teach courses in supply chain management, operations management and/or business analytics at the undergraduate and graduate levels, to engage in scholarly activities and produce high-quality refereed publications, and to participate in departmental, college, university and professional service.

The Department of Decision and Technology Analytics (DATA) in the College of Business at Lehigh University has nine tenured and tenure-track faculty members and five teaching-track professors in business information systems, business analytics and supply chain management. Faculty in the department publish in top-ranked journals in supply chain management, operations management, business analytics and information systems. The department offers majors in business information systems, supply chain management, and business analytics, and minors in business information systems and supply chain management. The department also supports numerous undergraduate core courses, contributes courses to the College’s MBA programs, and offers an MS in Business Analytics. The Center for Supply Chain Research at Lehigh, which fosters industry support and research on supply chain management, is housed within the department.
