Job Description

LEHIGH UNIVERSITY. The Department of Accounting invites applications for a Tenured Associate Professor of Accounting, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2026.

The successful candidate will be expected to teach at the undergraduate and graduate levels, engage in scholarly activities, participate in departmental, college, and university service, and contribute to the university’s community outreach efforts. Their initial rank (Assistant or Associate) will depend on their previous experience.

The Department of Accounting provides students with outstanding accounting education and networking opportunities and advances the profession of accountancy by producing leading accounting research and interdisciplinary scholarship. We prepare students to enter the accounting profession upon graduation, assume positions of leadership in the global business community later in their careers, and be socially responsible and ethical business professionals. The department is accredited in Accounting by the AACSB and places a strong emphasis on inclusion and belonging in teaching and scholarship. Qualifications

Applicants must have an earned Ph.D. in Accounting from an accredited institution by the date of employment, a demonstrated ability or potential for high-quality research and teaching in accounting, and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
