Job Description

The Department of Marketing in the College of Business at Lehigh University invites applications for an open rank non-tenure-track, non-tenured, instructional position in Marketing beginning in July 2025. Initial rank will depend on the candidate’s teaching and/or industry experience. It is a non-tenure-track, full-time, fixed-term, renewable position.  

The position is open to both academics and industry professionals with a focus on marketing analytics. Successful candidates will design and teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate marketing courses, including marketing analytics, artificial intelligence, and other data-related topics. They should be open to in-person, remote, and hybrid teaching modalities as needed. 

Qualifications for the position include a doctorate in Marketing from an AACSB or equivalently accredited university, as well as relevant teaching experience and interests in marketing analytics. Candidates from industries are also welcome to apply and should have a Master's degree in Marketing or a related field and at least 10 years of experience in marketing analytics or related fields.

While the position is not tenurable, faculty hired at the rank of Teaching Assistant Professors who develop excellent records in the areas of teaching and service are expected to become eligible for consideration for promotion to the rank of Teaching Associate Professor, and ultimately to the rank of Teaching Full Professor.

Selected candidates will be responsible for teaching eight courses per academic year (typically, 4 three­ credit courses per semester). They are also expected to be highly engaged and committed members of the marketing department and will be involved in undergraduate and graduate teaching, curriculum development, student advising, and department service assigned by the department chair. Teaching opportunities in winter and summer may be available for additional compensation based on department needs and faculty interest. Compensation for the position will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and demonstrated excellence in teaching effectiveness.

Department of Marketing

The Department of Marketing is a collegial group of dedicated professionals focused on conducting research with impact, enhancing the educational experience of our students, and generating positive visibility by means of their contributions. Approximately 1,700 undergraduates, 350 graduate students, and 98 full-time faculty members comprise the College of Business. In addition to offering degrees at the undergraduate level, the college also provides a flexible MBA that can be completed part-time, a one-year full-time MBA program, Masters in Applied Economics, Business Analytics, Financial Engineering, and Management, and an economics-based Ph.D. program. Dual degrees of specialty masters are also available. In addition, joint programs exist between business and engineering at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
