Job Description

Lehigh University’s Rauch Center for Business Communication in the College of Business invites qualified individuals to apply for a visiting faculty position in Business Communication beginning August 2024.  This is a one-year visiting faculty appointment that ends in May 2025, with the possibility of renewal.  

Responsibilities include teaching 12 credit hours of required business communication courses to business undergraduates in both fall and spring semesters (24 credits per year).  Courses may include either Business Communication I and/or Business Communication II, following standard syllabi that include opportunity for creative classroom methods.  The successful candidate will also engage in service to advance the mission of the Philip Rauch Center for Business Communication.  Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualification.

Minimum qualifications include a Master’s degree in communication or related field OR a Master’s degree in business administration, with relevant business experience using written, oral, and visual communication in work environment(s) by the date of hire.  A doctorate in business, management, marketing, or other related field with business experience is preferred.  

Qualified candidates will also demonstrate excellent written and oral communication competence in English, including successful experience using data persuasively to achieve communication goals.  Experience teaching and/or working with adult learners to develop communication competence is preferred.
