Job Description

Open Position:

The College of Education and Human Services, Special Education Program, invites applicants for a Teaching Assistant Professor position in Applied Behavior Analysis, effective August 15, 2024.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have an earned Ph.D. in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, or a related field and hold Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA) certification by the date of employment. In addition, candidates should have at least three years applied experience in a school or clinic setting performing duties aligned with a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and have experience teaching one or more courses at the university level.

Position Summary:

The Teaching Assistant Professor is a 12-month position. The successful candidate will be expected to teach six online graduate-level courses (18 credits) yearly in the ABA Verified Course Sequence (VCS), serve as VCS Coordinator, and advise students seeking BCBA certification. In addition, the successful candidate also will supervise students in the BCBA program who are employed at Lehigh University Autism Services and other facilities. The Teaching Assistant Professor will be expected to support and contribute to college and university efforts relating to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

The College of Education houses five programs, including Counseling Psychology; Educational Leadership; School Psychology; Special Education; and Teaching, Learning, and Technology. The BCBA program is housed in Special Education and draws students from all programs.
